Optional extras that can be had with the big tourer include – Pro Riding Modes with mode pre-selection, engine drag torque control (MSR), Comfort telephony with extended smartphone connection, electronic suspension and Hill Start Control Pro (HSC Pro).

However, there are two other optional extras that are more important and they are Active Cruise Control (ACC) and full LED headlight with Adaptive Turning Light.

In the future, the adaptive turning light will also get “welcome”, “goodbye” and “follow me home” functions as optional extras.

Furthermore, the 2021 BMW R 1250 RT also gets a new fairing, which has an upper section with reduced height, that the German brand says comes with aerodynamic advancements.

In addition to the basic version in Alpine White 3, the new R 1250 RT is also available in three other variants namely – Elegance, Sport and Option 719.

Powering the bike is the legendary 1254cc 2-cylinder boxer engine that is now Euro 5-compliant and delivers 136 HP and 143 Nm. Launch of the motorcycle will take place in India likely by sometime next year.
