2021 BMW R 1250 GS and Adventure Launched, Priced From Rs. 20.45 Lakhs

The asking price of the 2021 BMW R 1250 GS Adventure is Rs. 22.40 lakhs (ex-showroom)

BMW Motorrad has launched the 2021 R 1250 GS Pro with a price tag of Rs. 20.45 lakhs (ex-showroom and introductory), in India today.

The 2021 BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Pro, on the other hand, costs more at Rs. 22.40 lakhs (ex-showroom and introductory). Both models are brought to India as Completely Built-up Units (CBU).

The design of BMW’s premium adventure motorcycle is universally known. Which is why the German marque has chosen to leave the styling alone and update the paint scheme for both variants of the bike for 2021.

Apart from the basic colour scheme (Light White for R 1250 GS and Ice Grey for R 1250 GS Adventure), the motorcycles also come in Style Rallye (Light White/Racing Blue and Red), Style Triple Black and, for a limited period, in a special 40 Years of GS (Black and Yellow) paint scheme.

Equipped with LED adaptive headlight, the bikes can also be fitted with optional new lighting functions (which display ‘Welcome’ and ‘Goodbye’), cruising light and function-integrated turn indicator bulbs.

Both models come with features such as a 6.5 inch full-colour TFT display, phone and media functions, Bluetooth connectivity, power sockets, heated grips, and arrow navigation via BMW Motorrad Connected app.

A 1254cc 2-cylinder boxer engine with variable camshaft control powers both models. It puts out 136 HP at 7750 RPM and 143 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit, while the shaft drive stays as is.

The motorcycles also get riding modes, among which the ‘Dynamic Pro’ and ‘Enduro Pro’ modes each have individualisation options.

As standard the R 1250 GS range feature Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Control Pro (HSC Pro), Integral ABS Pro, while adaptive damping is offered as an optional extra.

There are several other optional equipment that can be fitted to the motorcycles, while many accessories are also available for customers to customise the bikes as they see fit.
