Just six bolts are enough to remove the whole body panel of the bike

Honda has unveiled the new 2021 MSX125 Grom with fresh styling and a new Euro 5-spec air-cooled engine.

Called by its manufacturer as a little machine with big dreams, the pocket-sized bike now has updated bodywork that is minimalistic and different from its predecessor that looked like a scaled-down version of Honda’s big nakeds.

It is thoroughly modern too, what with LED headlight, LCD digital dash, 31 mm USD front forks and has compact bodywork that can be removed with ease. Honda has done that to make customisation of the bike easier than before.

The digital display now houses a rev counter, gear position indicator, twin trip meters, fuel gauge and a clock, apart from the speedometer, obviously.

Colour options available on the 2021 Honda MSX125 Grom are Force Silver Metallic, Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic and Gayety Red.

Powering the latest Grom is a new, Euro 5-compliant 125cc 2-valve air-cooled engine that makes 9.7 HP of peak power at 7250 RPM and 10.5 Nm of max torque at 5,500 RPM.

Now, the Grom comes with a 5-speed gearbox (rather than 4-speed) and due to that, the top speed has increased by 2 km/hr to 94 km/hr.

Riding on 12-inch alloy wheels with 120-section front and 130-section rear tyres, the Grom has a 761 mm seat height, while braking is done by 220 mm front and 190 mm rear discs with the aid of ABS which operates through an IMU.
