2021 Lexus LC 500h Limited Edition Launched, Priced At Rs. 2.15 Crores
Available in 3 exterior shades, the limited edition model comes with specific features like the carbonfibre rear wing and bespoke interior trim.
Lexus India has launched the 2021 LC 500h Limited Edition with a price tag of Rs. 2,15,60,000/- (ex-showroom).
The carmaker states the limited edition model of its sporty GT is inspired by aeroplanes, specifically by air-racing machines.
A few years ago Lexus had partnered with air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and helped him win the 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Lexus engineers maximised efficiencies for Muroya’s aircraft by using testing data of its cars.
In order to create the 2021 Lexus LC 500h Limited Edition, the engineers, the carmaker says, turned the above mentioned concept on its head.
Lexus claims its engineers created the carbonfibre reinforced plastic rear wing of the car by taking an airplane wing and flipping it upside down to realise greater steering response and stability.
Even the car’s 21-inch forged wheels, that are exclusive to the LC Limited Edition, aid in lowering drag co-efficient while having the same level of rigidity, Lexus claims.
Available in 3 colours – White Nova Glass Flake, Sonic Silver, and Black – the 2021 Lexus LC 500h Limited Edition has special black ornamentation on the radiator grille, rear wing and wheels.
Inside, the car’s seats trimmed in Black Alcantara with Saddle Tan accents, while the seat belts come in Saddle Tan too. The door trims, steering wheel and shift lever are wrapped in Black Alcantara trim. In addition, there are carbonfibre scuff plates as well.
Powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that is coupled with an electric motor to put out a combined 354 HP, the 2021 Lexus LC 500h Limited Edition sports a multistage hybrid transmission. Although it looks like a sports car, the LC 500h is inherently a GT that weighs about 2 tonnes.
