2021 Maruti Swift Facelift Launched, Priced From Rs. 5.73 Lakhs

Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2021 Swift facelift with a starting price tag of Rs. 5.73 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), a day after it released the teaser video of the car.

For the 2021 model year, Maruti has given the popular hatchback a new cross mesh grille which houses a chrome trim piece that lends the front fascia of the car a fresh look.

Also, dual tone exterior colours have been introduced in addition to the array of colours the car is offered with already. The 3 new dual tone colours are – Pearl Arctic White and Solid Fire Red that come with Pearl Midnight Black roof and Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White roof.

Inside, the 2021 Swift comes with silver interior ornamentation, a twin-pod instrument cluster that has a 4-inch TFT display and the 7-inch Smartplay Studio infotainment system that offers smartphone, vehicle, and cloud-based services. The hatchback also has features like cruise control, and key synchronized auto foldable ORVMs.

Another item that is new for the 2021 Maruti Swift is the K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine that is equipped with cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system and Idle Start Stop (ISS) technology.

Producing a maximum of 88.5 HP, the new engine enables the car to achieve a claimed fuel economy figure of 23.20 km/l when equipped with the manual gearbox and 23.76 km/l for the Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) variants.

Safety-wise, the Swift now comes with bigger brakes (front and rear), dual airbags, ABS, EBD, pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX mounts, reverse parking sensors with a rear view camera, while AGS variants also get Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold.
