Both the 2022 model year Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 come with serious price tags

The 2022 Aprilia RSV4 superbike has been introduced in India with a price tag of Rs. 23.69 lakhs, today. The 2022 Tuono V4, on the other hand, costs Rs. 20.66 lakhs (prices are ex-showroom).

Revealed in January this year, the motorcycles, especially the RSV4, come with numerous changes, including a design overhaul, inspired by the new middleweight models of the Italian brand.

2022 Aprilia RSV4 –

For model year 2022, Aprilia gave the RSV4 a new headlight, fuel tank, seat, swingarm, digital instrument cluster, exhaust system and bodywork which now incorporates winglets.

Aprilia also upgraded its electronics system. The Aprilia Performance Ride Control system now includes engine maps, engine brake control, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control, speed limiter and 6 riding modes.

Powering the motorcycle is a 1099cc, 65-degree V4 heart that puts out 214 BHP at 13,000 RPM and 125 Nm of torque at 10,500 RPM. The bike has a 17.9-litre fuel tank and weighs 202 kg.

Customers who pay the 2022 Aprilia RSV4 price will get electronic suspension from Ohlins which are fully adjustable. The front wheel travel is 125 mm, while at the back it is 115 mm.

The braking hardware comprises dual 330 mm front discs with 4-piston Brembo Stylema monobloc radial calipers and 220 mm rear disc with a 2-piston Brembo calliper.

Even the updated Bosch ABS system comes with cornering function and 3 map settings along with Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation (RLM).

On the other hand, the 2022 model year Tuono V4 received quite modest updates. It does come with a revised semi-fairing, a raised handlebar, lowered the foot pegs and a reprofiled seat.

It is powered by a 1077cc, 65-degree V4 engine that is good for 173 BHP at 11,350 RPM and 122 Nm of torque at 11,000 RPM. The Tuono V4 also has a larger 18.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 209 kg.

Furthermore, it too comes with fully adjustable Ohlins electronic suspension with 120 mm front wheel travel and 130 mm rear wheel travel.

Stopping power comes from twin 330 mm front discs with 4-piston Brembo M50 monobloc radial calipers and a 220 mm disc at the rear with a 2-piston Brembo floating calliper.
