The 2022 Ford Endeavour teaser comes as the SUV enters final phase of testing

Ford has released a short teaser video of the 2022 Ford Endeavour (known as Everest elsewhere), providing the world the first official look of the next-generation model of the popular SUV.

Wearing its “mountain peak” inspired camo, the 2022 Endeavour, says Ford, has entered its final phase of testing, which indicates that the SUV will make its debut quite soon.

The 2022 Ford Endeavour teaser video shows us the car’s new radiator grille replete with a central chrome bar housing the manufacturer’s emblem.

Flanking the grille are a pair of LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, while below them sit the fog lamps that flank the lower air intake and skid plate.

The SUV will feature a long bonnet, a raked windscreen, rather short windows (for the size of the vehicle) with chrome applique, and will be fitted with large multi-spoke alloy wheels.

At the back, the new Endeavour will have a roof spoiler, split LED tail lamps, a large tailgate, and a small bumper (again, relative to the size of the vehicle). Also, the car comes with side steps to aid ingress and egress, and a sunroof.

Although the 2022 Ford Endeavour teaser video did not show the car’s interior, one can expect it to have a similar dashboard to the new Ranger pickup with which it shares its platform.

Expect to see a digital instrument cluster, large infotainment touchscreen (tablet-style unit), rotary gear knob, and several other new age features inside the 2022 Endeavour.

The car will come with a couple of turbocharged petrol engine options (2.3- and 2.7-litre units) and the same number of diesel choices (2.0- and 3.0-litre motors) based on the market and they will all be paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Of course 4-wheel drive will be on offer as well.

Ford is expected to launch the new generation Endeavour next year in India after its global debut. But, this time around, the car should be brought in as a completely built-up unit (CBU).
