2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Front
The Trailhawk variant won’t come cheap

The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is likely to be introduced here in March

Its February 2022 and a year has passed since the facelifted Jeep Compass was introduced in India. Yet, the SUV’s Trailhawk variant has not set foot in the market again.

Earlier, the American brand was said to be gearing up to launch the 2022 Compass Trailhawk this month. But, recent developments suggest that the market introduction of the rugged variant of the SUV will happen in March.

The reason behind the delay is not known, but considering the difficulties the auto industry has been facing for the past year, it is not hard to understand why.

The more rugged variant of the Compass range is easily identifiable thanks to the black sticker on the bonnet, ‘Trail Rated’ badge, body cladding and beefier tyres.

Inside, the upholstery is set to be different, but the regular top-spec Compass’ 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, power adjustable front seats, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, among other features should be on offer.

In India, the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk should be powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering 172 PS and 350 torques. The motor will be paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and the car will come with 4-wheel drive and necessary features to make it good at tackling the rough stuff.

Once launched, the Trailhawk variant will be the flagship model of the Compass range (priced between Rs. 17.79 lakhs and Rs. 29.34 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi) and its price will easily cross Rs. 30 lakhs (ex-showroom).
