The asking price of the 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is over Rs. 5 lakhs dearer than the Model S grade
Jeep India has launched the 2022 Compass Trailhawk today at an introductory price of Rs. 30.72 lakhs (ex-showroom). This variant is the SUV’s new flagship grade.
It has taken the carmaker well over a year to introduce the most off-road oriented variant of the facelifted Compass in the country despite having put the regular variants on sale in early 2021.
Being the model with the most capability to tackle rough terrain in the Compass model range, the Trailhawk looks a bit different in order for people to identify it easily. As such, the car sports model-specific badging and graphics, different bumpers and it also rides higher.
For the price, 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes with LED projector headlights, LED front cornering fog lamps, auto-dimming ORVMs, rain sensing wipers (only the front ones of course) and 17-inch alloy wheels on the exterior.
Inside, the SUV features a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, navigation, voice commands, 9-speaker music system, 12 V power outlet and a 360-degree camera, among several other goodies.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine that delivers a maximum of 170 HP and 350 Nm. The motor is teamed to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that in turn is coupled with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
Jeep says the model-specific bumpers of the Compass Trailhawk enable the car to have better approach and departure angles, while the raised suspension helps it to ford waters up to 482 mm deep.
Further, the raised suspension is also frequency-damped and the car comes with Jeep’s Select-Terrain system with 5 drive modes including a “Rock” mode (AWD) and a crawl ratio of 20:1.
