2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Features
The vehicle will look more modern than its predecessor

Pretty soon, test mules of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza can be spotted on Indian roads

The second-generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, expected to be launched by 2022 February, has a lot on its shoulders, since it will have to take over the baton from one of the most successful crossovers ever to be put on sale in India.

Despite being currently offered with a sole petrol engine and with relatively fewer features than some of its rivals, the compact SUV continues to stay very popular among buyers.

Its replacement, will naturally be expected to offer a step up be it in terms of design, cabin quality, features and riding dynamics.

Visually, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will likely feature rugged styling, much like the current model. Similarly, one can expect to see a bold grille, sleek LED lighting units, sporty bumpers and body cladding throughout.

But, being a Maruti, its overall appearance will be neutral and it should come with enough boot space and sizeable greenhouse as well.

The new model should be as successful as the current variant

Inside, since the compact SUV will be based on Maruti’s HEARTECT platform, there should be space for 5 adults, while more new age features will be offered too.

It should also allow the new Vitara Brezza to come with a proper petrol-hybrid powertrain. There will also be a 1.5-litre diesel engine option and the gearbox choices will include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic (could be petrol only).

Maruti had planned to launch the compact SUV at the 2022 Auto Expo, after the introduction of the new generation Celerio this year and diesel variant of the XL6 in January 2021.

While the event has been postponed, the launch of the car is expected to take place as planned in February 2022. Its unveil should take place by the end of this year though.
