Bookings for the 2022 Skoda Kodiaq have begun rather silently

Skoda Auto’s dealers have started accepting bookings for the 2022 Kodiaq SUV which will be launched in the market next month.

This development comes a week after the Czech carmaker begun local assembly of the Kodiaq which has received a facelift for model year 2022.

The refreshed SUV will come with cosmetic changes on the exterior such as a revised bonnet, grille, front bumper, headlights and tail lamps and an updated interior that will be packed with features.

Powering the car will be a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine tuned to produce 190 PS and it will be teamed to a 7-speed DSG which will send the motor’s power to all 4 wheels.

A formal announcement of the commencement of the car’s bookings is soon expected from the car manufacturer which has seen its sales grow strongly in India since the introduction of its compact SUV, the Kushaq.

Moreover, Skoda is also accepting bookings for the Slavia C-segment sedan which is its second product based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. The successor to the popular Rapid will come with 2 turbo-petrol engines and 3 gearbox options.
