2023 Toyota Innova Crysta announced for those who prefer diesel

2023 Toyota Innova Crysta revealed, bookings open. Booking amount is Rs. 50,000/-. The Japanese carmaker will announce the pricing soon. As promised, the diesel Innova Crysta has finally made a comeback.

In terms of styling, Toyota has updated the front profile with a new grille with a chrome outline. It comes with a revised bumper as well. The alloys look the same. Rear profile not yet revealed but we believe it’ll be more or less the same.

It is available in five colour options – White Pearl Crystal Shine, Superwhite, Silver, Attitude Black and Avant Garde Bronze.

The updated Crysta will be offered in four variants – G, GX, VX and ZX. The ZX variant only gets a 7-seater option while the rest are available with both 7 and 8 seater options.

It is powered by the 2.4-litre diesel engine which produces 148 BHP and 343 Nm torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic transmission option on offer.

Some of the features include Rear Auto AC with Digital Display, 8-Way Power Adjust Driver Seat, Smart Entry System, Seat Back Table, TFT MID, Leather Seat Colour Options( Black & Camel Tan), Ambient illumination, One Touch Tumble Second Row Seats and Smart Playcast 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

Safety features include 7 Airbags, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Vehicle Stability Control and Hill-Start Assist Control, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution ( EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).

Toyota has smartly repositioned the Crysta by discontinuing it in 2022 claiming to have huge demand for diesel. They eventually launched the new generation Innova HyCross with hybrid and petrol engine options. Now they have re-launched the Crysta with diesel engine only.
