2024 Mercedes AMG GT is the second generation model
2024 Mercedes AMG GT revealed, the new generation performance car will be available in two variants and has the option for 2+2 seating layout.
It is built on a newly developed platform shared with the Mercedes SL. The new AMG GT looks very similar to the outgoing model but gets completely new styling with modern tech.
It comes with a huge grille up front accompanied by sporty looking headlights. If you see it from the side, it gets a long hood like its predecessor, new alloy wheels and a sporty roofline.
The rear profile gets a sleeker set of connected tail lamps with jutting out elements for the lights. Gets quad exhaust pipes and a sporty looking bumper.
The interior gets a completely new look but it shares most of the elements with the Mercedes SL. It comes with a huge 12.3-inch all digital instrument cluster along with a 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest MBUX operating system.
Mercedes is offering 2+2 seats for the first time with the AMG GT which will add to the convenience for seating kids at the back.
Powering the new Mercedes AMG GT is a twin-turbo 4.0-lite V8 petrol engine under the hood. It is available in two states of tune. The GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé gets a 476 HP motor with 700 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 295 km/hr.
The GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé gets a 585 HP motor with 800 Nm of torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 315 km/hr. Both the engines come mated with a 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission. It comes with six driving modes – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Race.
The German luxury carmaker is expected to introduce the new Mercedes AMG GT in the Indian market as well via CBU sometime next year.
