2026 Hyundai Exter facelift expected to add tech and comfort upgrades
Hyundai is readying an updated Exter for the Indian market, with the facelift expected to arrive around March 2026. Recent spy shots shared online give the first visual confirmation of the refreshed model being tested.
Changes may include a revised variant structure aligned with Hyundai’s latest HX-based trim hierarchy seen on newer models. Technology upgrades are also anticipated. A larger infotainment system, updated digital cluster and expanded connected car functions could make their way into the updated cabin. Comfort enhancements are likely too, as the current model already offers a voice-enabled sunroof and dual-camera dashcam. Features such as ventilated front seats or improved cushioning have been speculated, depending on final variant positioning.
Other convenience-oriented additions could include front and rear armrests for long-distance comfort, rear sunshades and quicker USB Type-C charging ports, reflecting the growing importance of small but meaningful features in this segment. On the safety side, the current Exter already provides six airbags and electronic stability control as standard. While the core safety package is expected to carry over, Hyundai could expand active assistance systems if market positioning allows.
Mechanical changes are not expected to be drastic. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine will continue to be offered along with Hy-CNG Duo variant. With added features and improved cabin technology, the facelifted Exter could see a mild price adjustment over current levels.
