Yamaha Motor India has introduced an updated version of its Fascino 125 Hybrid scooter, bringing minor design revisions while retaining its existing mechanical setup and feature list. The scooter continues to be positioned as an affordable 125cc offering in Yamaha’s lineup.
The revised Fascino 125 is available in three variants – Drum, Disc and S, with prices ranging from Rs. 76,500/- to Rs. 95,200/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The update focuses primarily on cosmetic tweaks, with no changes to performance or core features.
The most noticeable change comes at the rear, where the scooter now gets a redesigned tail-light setup. Unlike the earlier model, which integrated the brake lamp and indicators into a single unit, the updated version separates the indicators from the main tail lamp. The side panels have also been mildly reshaped, adopting a slightly sharper look compared to the earlier curvier design.
The front profile and overall silhouette remain unchanged, maintaining the scooter’s retro-inspired styling.
Mechanically, the Fascino 125 continues with its 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.2 HP and 10.3 Nm of torque. The scooter retains Yamaha’s Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) system, which provides a mild electric assist during acceleration. Features such as silent start and automatic start-stop function also continue to be part of the package.
The base Drum variant comes with basic braking hardware and is offered in select colour options. The mid-spec Disc variant adds a front disc brake, while the top-end S variant includes a colour TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation and distinctive styling elements such as contrast finishes.
Despite the update, the overall feature set remains unchanged, indicating that the refresh is aimed more at keeping the design current rather than introducing new technology.
The Fascino 125 continues to compete in a crowded 125cc scooter segment against models such as the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125 and Hero Destini 125.
With this update, Yamaha appears to be focusing on maintaining the scooter’s appeal through subtle design changes while continuing to rely on its existing hybrid assist technology and feature set.
