The sedan has been spotted for the first time in India

Honda’s popular sedan, the City has been spotted on test in India on roads around Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The heavily camouflaged test vehicle gave away the sedan’s dummy tail lights and shark fin antenna on the roof. Blacked-out B pillars and multi-spoke alloy wheels are visible in the spy pictures as well.

The 5th-generation Honda City will draw power from BS6-compliant engines. It is expected that gearbox options might include a 6-speed manual and a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The company might offer a compact hybrid system believed to be based on the Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (iMMD) hybrid powertrain.

Honda will offer an improvised cabin with the new City. A longer wheelbase with some extra legroom for the rear passengers will be provided along with a better quality interior. The 2020 Honda City could get a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2020 Honda City will get up to date security and safety features with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, brake assist, seat belt reminders and speed alert.

The new Honda City will be launched in India in the first quarter of 2020 with an official unveil at the 2020 Auto Expo.
