Kinetic Electric Scooter Spotted Testing, Gets Red Highlights
Kinetic Green Limited had filed the design patent for an electric scooter inspired by the original Kinetic Honda DX. The test mules of the modern Kinetic have been spotted. Let’s take a closer look.
Styling
The upcoming Kinetic e-scooter has boxy proportions, which are similar to the Kinetic Honda DX. The boxy headlight complements the rest of the body panels, resembling the classic scooter.
It is observable that there is red bodywork that isn’t covered by the camouflage in certain areas. In addition to this, the seat also has red accent stitching. This helps to reveal that red can be one of the colour options available when the e-scooter goes on sale.
The Kinetic e-scooter appears to have a hub-mounted motor, front disc brake, twin-shock absorber, centre stand and 12-inch wheels. The electric motor will have performance similar to the TVS iQube or Bajaj Chetak.
Market Positioning & Expected Pricing
We expect the Kinetic e-scooter to be positioned as a family-friendly and practical proposition in the market. The Kinetic e-scooter will be priced at Rs. 1 lakh, considering the stiff competition. It remains to be seen whether the nostalgia from the Kinetic Honda will be enough to make a mark in a growing market segment.
