TVS Apache RTR 310 Launched, Gets New Features
TVS has launched the updated Apache RTR 310, starting at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. The top-end variant, with added features, crosses the Rs. 3 lakh mark. This update retains core mechanicals while enhancing features and ride dynamics.
Styling
Visually, the RTR 310 looks the same but adds new elements for flair. These include a transparent clutch cover, knuckle guards, and sequential indicators. A new Fiery Red colour joins the existing options. The base variant only comes in black but includes many premium features as standard. The top variant adds the quickshifter and comes in red or yellow.
Engine
The 310cc engine still produces 35.6 HP and 28.7 NM of torque, but it now reacts better to throttle input and gear position. This calibration improves throttle precision and responsiveness. TVS focuses on making power delivery smoother without sacrificing performance.
The RTR 310 now uses the same rear sprocket as the RR 310. Earlier, the RTR had a four-tooth larger sprocket. This change refines power delivery and efficiency.
Feature Changes
New to the bike, Drag Torque Control works with the slip/assist clutch to reduce wheel slip. It ensures safer engine braking and downshifting. These updates enhance control during spirited riding or sudden deceleration.
Optional Features
Other optional features include launch control and keyless ignition, which riders can access through BTO (Built-To-Order) kits. The existing features, like cruise control and traction control, remain. Riders also receive a bidirectional quickshifter and switchable ABS.
Pricing
Both variants qualify for a limited-time Rs. 10,000 discount. The Dynamic BTO kit adds adjustable suspension, a TPMS system, and a brass-coated chain for Rs. 18,000. The Dynamic Pro kit, priced at Rs. 28,000, introduces lean-sensitive aids and more electronics. Together, both kits raise the price to Rs. 3.03 Lakh (ex-showroom). This fully loaded RTR 310 is now pricier than the KTM 390 Duke at Rs. 2.97 Lakh (ex-showroom). However, it offers more tech and comfort features.
Outlook
TVS positions the RTR 310 as a street naked sportsbike. The updated Apache RTR 310 combines proven performance with modern features and aggressive styling. It suits riders wanting excitement and daily practicality.
