Tata Sierra Red

Unofficial bookings begin for Tata Sierra ahead of official launch timeline

Select Tata dealerships across India have begun taking unofficial reservations for the upcoming 2025 Tata Sierra, even though official bookings are yet to open. The SUV was recently showcased in its production-ready form, drawing interest from buyers looking for a new contender in the midsize SUV segment.

According to dealer sources, the unofficial booking amount varies significantly, ranging from Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 51,000 depending on the outlet. These early reservations are expected to be converted into official bookings once Tata Motors formally opens the process, potentially giving early buyers an advantage in delivery timelines.

Dealerships indicate that customer deliveries are likely to begin in early January 2026. However, long waiting periods are possible, in line with trends seen with several other high-demand Tata models.

The Sierra will be offered with three engine choices. It will introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit expected to produce around 170 HP, along with a new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The familiar 1.5-litre diesel, developing 118 HP and used in models like the Nexon and Curvv, will also be available. Full technical details will be revealed closer to launch.

Tata will announce Sierra prices on November 25. The SUV will compete against established midsize rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate. Expected pricing ranges between Rs. 11 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs.
