2026 Ninja 650 gets E20 compliance with minor price hike in India
Kawasaki has introduced the 2026 model year Ninja 650 in India with a key mechanical update aimed at future readiness. The middleweight sports tourer is now compliant with E20 fuel norms and is priced at Rs. 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom) marking a Rs. 14,000 increase over the outgoing model.
At the heart of the motorcycle is the familiar 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. With the latest update the motor continues to deliver 68 HP at 8000 RPM and 62.1 Nm of torque at 6700 RPM. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed gearbox and the bike retains an assist-and-slipper clutch for smoother downshifts and reduced lever effort.
The chassis hardware remains unchanged. Suspension duties are handled by a 41 mm telescopic fork at the front and a rear monoshock. Braking performance comes from twin 300 mm front discs and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS offered as standard.
In terms of electronics the Ninja 650 continues to feature switchable Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). It also gets a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app offering access to ride data and notifications.
For 2026 Kawasaki is offering the Ninja 650 in a single Lime Green colour option. While the shade is familiar the bike receives refreshed graphics that were first seen on the international version earlier this year.
Despite the price revision the Ninja 650 remains one of the more accessible options in its segment. It continues to be positioned significantly below rivals such as the Honda CBR650R which commands a much higher asking price in India.
