Ather Is Developing New Platforms, EL Platform For Affordable E-Scooters & Zenith Platform For E-Motorcycles
Ather has confirmed that they are working on the EL platform, which is a cost-effective platform for the e-scooters. The brand plans to launch new e-motorcycles which will utilise this platform. They will be more affordable compared to the Rizta and 450X models.
Ather EL Platform
The Ather EL platform is currently under development and shall launch soon. The timeline hasn’t been revealed by the company as of now. However, the new platform will be versatile enough to cater to a wide audience that is budget-conscious. The EL platform is also expected to reduce the production costs by a huge margin with the help of learnings from the existing model portfolio.
Ather Zenith Platform
Ather has also confirmed the development of the Zenith platform. It will help to create e-motorcycles rivalling the performance of bikes between 125cc to 300cc. The exact details aren’t mentioned at this point, but it is expected that these platforms will deliver models in the coming years.
Outlook
It is important to note that the company has had the ambition of creating motorcycles targeting the 125cc to 300cc segment since 2023. The company has recently filed for IPO. Ather currently has one factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which is responsible for the production of the E-Scooters.
