Audi India has launched the new Q3 Dynamic range topping variant in the compact luxury SUV’s lineup, priced at Rs. 38.40 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The 2014 Audi Q3 Dynamic comes equipped with Audi Drive Select as well as a host of new features that will help the company further strengthen its position in the Indian compact luxury segment. Competing against the BMW X1 and the upcoming Mercedes GLA, the latter is being seen as a grave threat by the Ingolstadt based automaker in the segment.
In terms of aesthetics, the new top-of-the-line Audi Q3 Dynamic features a new full chrome grille, under body guards at the front and rear bumpers as well as heat-insulating glass. Audi has also equipped the Q3 Dynamic with Xenon Plus with LED daytime running lights, clear-lens LED tail lights, dynamic headlight range adjustment and 17-inch alloy wheels with 5-spoke ‘Trias’ design. The German automaker is offering three new exterior colours on the new top-end variant inclusive of Florett silver, Mythos black and monsoon grey.
On the inside, the Q3 Dynamic gets a multi-function leather wrapped steering wheel, high-gloss finish package, walnut brown wood inlays and a new storage package. Keeping the front passengers comfortable are the electrically adjustable seats with 4-way lumbar support. There is also the driver information system as well as light and rain sensor on offer. To justify the Dynamic tag, the top-end Q3 comes loaded with a range of features including Auto release function, hill start assist, cruise control and dual-zone air-conditioning system.
There is also the inclusion of the Audi sound system with 10 speakers including a sub-woofer, voice dialog system, concert radio and Audi music interface. A 5.8-inch retractable MMI screen displays the infotainment options, while connectivity options include Bluetooth with audio streaming. The new Q3 Dynamic draws power from the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces 177 HP of power at 4200 RPM and 380 Nm of torque between 1750-2500 RPM, paired to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission.
In terms of safety, the Audi Q3 Dynamic comes loaded with 6 airbags, ESP, parking aid plus as well as the quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi says the suspension been tuned to be more compliant with Indian road conditions to offer the right balance between ride and comfort. The new Dynamic variant sits above the Premium+ variant in the Q3’s lineup, while the range starts with the Q3 S priced at Rs. 25.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Sales have commenced for the Q3 Dynamic at Audi dealerships across the country.
