Bajaj Chetak 3001 Launched, Built On Chetak 35 Series & Replaves Chetak 2903

Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001 electric scooter in India. Replacing the Chetak 2903, the electric scooter is built on the Chetak 35 series. Bajaj prices the Chetak 3001 at Rs. 99,990 (ex-showroom).

Styling

The Bajaj Chetak 3001 resembles the rest of the Chetak lineup. The flowy design continues with modern elements like alloy wheels and LED headlights. However, the Chetak 3001 has unique graphics which help the scooter = to differentiate itself from the rest of the Chetak lineup.

The Chetak 3001 gets a full metal body, making it the only scooter in the segment. Bajaj offers the Chetak 3001 in 3 colours: Red, Blue and Yellow.

Battery & Range

A 3 kWh battery pack powers the Bajaj Chetak 3001. This battery pack offers 127 Km range. The electric motor achieves a top speed of 62 Km/hr. The Chetak 3001 comes with a 750 kW charger, helping the scooter charge from 0% to 80% in 3 hours and 50 minutes. Additionally, the scooter also offers 35 litres of storage.

Features

The Chetak 3001 is equipped with a colour TFT display offering call and music controls, hill-hold assist, guide-me-home lamps, and reverse light. The TFT display features smartphone connectivity, which helps riders access the data.

Additionally, the Chetak 3001 also features all-LED lighting and a combined braking system.

Market Positioning

Bajaj has commenced the bookings of the Chetak 3001. Bajaj will begin delivering the electric scooter later this month. The sub 1 Lakh price tag positions it well to compete with the likes of Vida V2 Plus, TVS iQube 2.2, Ather Rizta S etc.
