Mahindra XUV700 facelift to get new features and big design changes
The Mahindra XUV700 facelift has once again been spotted testing but this time, the new spy shots reveal much more than just external tweaks—the interior gets a substantial overhaul. Mahindra seems to be taking cues from its EV sibling, the XEV 9e, to revamp the cabin experience of the popular SUV.
Interior Overhaul: Triple Screens and New Steering Wheel
The most striking addition inside the facelifted XUV700 is the new triple-screen dashboard layout, similar to what we’ve seen in the Mahindra XEV 9e. This setup integrates a digital instrument cluster, a large central infotainment display and a separate screen dedicated to co-passenger functions or infotainment extension. This multi-screen layout positions the XUV700 facelift closer to luxury benchmarks in its segment.
Also visible is a new steering wheel design, borrowed from the XEV 9e. It features a cleaner two-spoke design and a backlit Mahindra logo, enhancing the SUV’s premium quotient. The center console and AC vent layout have also been changed. We can also expect the upholstery and trim quality to be revised for a more upscale feel.
Exterior Changes
On the outside, the facelift will get new headlights with updated LED DRLs, replacing the existing C-shaped DRLs. The front and rear bumper will get updated for a fresher look. We can also expect new alloy wheel designs with the updated model.
The grille of the new XUV700 will be revised giving the front a more rugged appeal. A sleeker air dam vent is also incorporated into the lower fascia, adding to the SUV’s aggressive front profile.
Other Details and Features Expected
While the silhouette remains unchanged, Mahindra is expected to introduce new features in the facelift, including:
- Rear ventilated seats
- Digital key with NFC integration
- Possibly ADAS feature upgrades or refinements
No Mechanical Changes Anticipated
Mechanically, the facelifted XUV700 is expected to retain the same powertrain options:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
- 2.2-litre diesel engine
Both engines will continue with the existing 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission choices.
