The Bajaj Pulsar 220F was recently updated with new graphic schemes and a new crash guard. Bajaj has now equipped the Pulsar 220F with ABS and priced it at Rs. 1,05,250/-. This is an increase of around Rs. 7600/- over the non-ABS variant which costs Rs. 97,670/- (all prices ex-showroom, Pune).

The single-channel ABS unit on the Pulsar 220F is likely to be similar to that seen on the RS 200 and NS 200. Powering the 220F is a single-cylinder 220cc motor, producing 20.9 PS at 8500 RPM and 18.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM.

Despite being relatively old, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F continues to be one of the most popular entry-level sports bikes in our country. Since its launch, the motorbike hasn’t received a major update but the ABS variant hints that Bajaj has no plans to withdraw the 220F from our market anytime soon.

The Government Of India has made it mandatory for all motorcycles above 125cc to be equipped with ABS before April 2019. It looks like Bajaj has launched the variant well ahead of time to comply with the upcoming safety norms. The updated 220F has not yet reached dealerships but it is believed that many dealers have started accepting bookings with deliveries expected to commence in the coming weeks.
