Bajaj Auto has received the CNBC Overdrive award for revolutionizing Indian motorcycling and bringing performance biking to the masses. The award was given to the company’s flagship model, the Pulsar being the strongest and the most respected brand in Indian motorcycling. Despite intense competition no other model has been able to challenge the Pulsar dominance of this segment. The Bajaj Pulsar saga goes on as bike has moved on from strength to strength and it currently does an average of 65,000 bikes per month.
“The Bajaj Pulsar continues to be the Number 1 model in the performance segment. Even after 10 years we continue to dominate the segment with a market share of more than 50% with more than 10 other models from various Indian and Japanese companies sharing the rest. Over the years we have ensured that Pulsar continues to thrill and excite consumers. Our R&D has worked remarkably to keep Pulsar well ahead of competition with the best of technology, features, styling and performance. We are indeed very proud of the fact that Pulsar has received this prestigious award,” Mr. S Sridhar, CEO-2 wheeler, Bajaj Auto, said.
