The BMW 220i Black Shadow comes with a price tag Rs. 1.60 lakh dearer than the regular 220i M Sport
BMW India has introduced the 220i M Sport ‘Black Shadow’ edition with a price tag of Rs. 43.50 lakhs (ex-showroom), today.
Limited to 24 units and exclusively available on the BMW Online Shop, the Black Shadow edition is available with a petrol heart now. In December last year, the same model was introduced in 220d guise.
Available in 2 exterior colour choices – Alpine White and Black Sapphire – the car features Sensatec Oyster and Black and Sensatec Black upholstery options.
The BMW 220i Black Shadow price is Rs. 1.60 lakh dearer than the regular 220i M Sport variant. However, the German marque says the car has BMW Individual shadow line pack and M Performance parts worth Rs. 3.25 lakhs.
On the outside, the car comes with a gloss black mesh-style M radiator grille, black ORVM caps, gloss black rear spoiler, Matt Jet Black 18-inch M Performance wheels and black chrome exhaust finishers.
Inside, there are plentiful features to keep occupants busy and entertained. The cockpit is driver-focused and there are sport seats with memory function, panorama glass sunroof, illuminated trim and ambient lighting too.
Further, the 220i M Sport Black Shadow edition comes equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 3D navigation, virtual assistant, gesture control, and smartphone integration.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that puts out 190 HP and 280 Nm of torque. It is teamed to a 7-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission.
The car can do the 0 to 100 km/hr sprint in 7.1 seconds, has paddle shifters, launch control, cruise control with braking function, driving modes (Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport), parking assistant with rear view camera and a reversing assistant.
Like any modern BMW, the D-segment sedan also features numerous safety equipment including 6 airbags, ABS, DSC, DTC, CBC, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and even attentiveness assistance.
