BMW G 310 RR Teased Ahead Of Launch, Will Include Updated Engine & Feature Additions
BMW has teased the updated G 310 RR ahead of its launch. The teaser reveals the rear section and the “RR” moniker. This version will introduce design changes and feature enhancements to enhance its wider consumer appeal.
BMW continues to offer its most affordable motorcycle in India following the discontinuation of the G 310 R and G 310 GS. BMW shares underpinnings with the recently updated TVS Apache RR 310. Expect BMW to launch it ahead of the festive season.
Design Changes
Aerodynamic winglets for improved high-speed stability could be part of the design updates. New liveries inspired by BMW’s design language may be part of the cosmetic changes. These upgrades aim to attract younger riders seeking style and performance.
Updated Engine
The new 312.2cc engine seen in the Apache RR 310 produces 38 HP and 29 Nm of torque. The engine will likely make its way into the new G 310 RR. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Feature Additions
The feature list will also see enhancements for added value. Additions can include launch control, Gen-2 Race computer, and cornering drag torque control. Sequential turn signals and a tyre pressure monitoring system could be other highlights.
Outlook
The G 310 RR has not been the most popular entry-level sportsbike due to its high price. This update aims to strengthen BMW’s position in the premium segment. Whether the updated GST will help make it more appealing in the segment remains to be seen.
