BMW G310R Testing India
The motorcycles will get ride-by-wire throttle this time

BMW Motorrad has commenced bookings for the BS6-compliant G 310 R and the G 310 GS, in India. The motorcycles can be booked for a token amount of Rs. 50,000/-.

Launch of the BMW G 310 R BS6 and its adventure tourer sibling is close by and it is said that BMW Motorrad may reduce the price of the motorcycles to the tune of Rs. 30,000/- with the BS6 update.

The entry-level motorcycles from the German manufacturer will not only be kinder to the environment this time around, but they will also sport LED headlights and LED turn indicators.

G 310 R also features redesigned tank extensions for a more muscular appeal. Apart from that, the updated bikes retain the same styling as the BS4 models. The instrument cluster will also stay the same.

One useful addition that will feature on the bikes is ride-by-wire throttle. However, the BMW bikes might not get riding modes seen on their sibling, the TVS Apache RR 310 that recently received a price hike.

Other changes expected on the bike include new engine mounts and revised internals to further up the refinement levels of the machines.

With BMW G 310 R BS6 bookings commenced, it is said deliveries of the bikes are slated to begin from October 2020 onwards.
