Ford Endeavour BS6 Price Starts At Rs. 29.55 Lakhs

Ford has introduced the updated Endeavour with a new BS6 compliant 2.0-litre diesel.

After all the rumours and leaks and speculations, Ford has finally introduced the updated Endeavour. It is priced from Rs. 29.55 lakhs (ex-showroom). The pricing is introductory and is valid for bookings made until April 30. Ford will increase the pricing by Rs. 70,000/- on 1st May.

There are only three variants on offer – Titanium 4×2 AT, Titanium+ 4×2 AT and Titanium+ 4×4 AT. There is no manual on offer. The 3.2-litre diesel and 2.2-litre diesel engines have been discontinued.

The Ford Endeavour now comes with a single 2.0-litre EcoBlue BS6 compliant diesel engine that produces 170 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine is 14 percent more fuel efficient compared to the 2.2-litre engine.

The 4×2 variants return a claimed fuel efficiency of 13.90 km/l while 4X4 returns 12.4 km/l. This BS6 compliant engine uses Diesel Exhaust Fluid AdBlue.

The new Endeavour will be offered with FordPass cloud based connectivity feature which lets the owner control various functions of the car via mobile app including engine start/stop, door lock/unlock, location, info about fuel level, distance to empty, etc.

There are no changes to the exterior but if you notice the headlights have been revised. The new Endeavour comes with all-LED headlight for both low and high beam that offers 20 percent improved lighting penetration.

The 4×4 variant comes with Terrain Management System (TMS) with four preset modes – Normal, Snow/Mud/Grass, Sand and Rock.

In terms of safety, the updated model offers 7 airbags including driver knee airbag. It gets Hill Launch Assist and Hill Descent Control.

Some of the features include Semi-Auto Parallel Park Assist, push start button, power lift tailgate, rear and front parking sensors, reverse parking camera, auto headlamps, auto wipers, DRLs, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seat.

The Ford Endeavour will now be available only in three colour options – Diffused Silver, Sunset Red, and Diamond White. The American carmaker is offering standard 3-year or 1,00,000 km factory warranty.
