2016 Ford Endeavour Test Drive Review
Ford Endeavour is available in 2 diesel engine options – 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre

Ford has discontinued 2.2-litre 4WD manual transmission Trend and 3.2-litre 4WD automatic transmission Trend variants of the Endeavour thereby making the SUV available only with an automatic gearbox.

This isn’t the first time Ford has discontinued variants on the Endeavour, the American car maker had also discontinued the base 2.2-litre 2WD Trend variant last year. Citing lower sales as the reason, Ford has discontinued the above variants.

In-spite of being a well-packaged product and a capable off-roader, the Ford Endeavour hasn’t been able to sell in good numbers like its close rival, the Toyota Fortuner. While Ford was able to sell 335 units of the Endeavour, Toyota sold 1961 units of the Fortuner last month.

While the Toyota Fortuner is available with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options, the Ford Endeavour is now available only with an automatic gearbox. Prices for the Ford Endeavour start at Rs. 25.49 lakhs for the base 2.2-litre 2WD variant and go up to Rs. 31.50 lakhs for the top-end 3.2-litre 4WD variant (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
