2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special has been launched in India.
Harley-Davidson has introduced the new Street Glide Special in India. The motorcycle made its global debut last year as part of Harley-Davidson’s plan to launch 100 new motorcycles in the next five years.
The Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is a touring motorcycle that is already on sale in India. The 2019 model of the motorcycle gets several updates over the current model. It gets a larger 1868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox while the current model sports a 1745cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine. The new setup helps in developing an impressive 165 Nm of peak torque. However, the torque comes in handy as the motorcycle weighs a mighty 380 kgs.
Moreover, the 2019 Street Glide Special gets a 6.5-inch Boom Box GTS touchscreen infotainment system that has pinch, drag and swipe functionality. This enables riders to navigate through the weather, communications and music options. The instrument panel, engine cover, exhaust pipes and the front suspension forks have been covered in black.
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is a completely built unit (CBU) in India and is priced at Rs. 30.53 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The motorcycle will rival the likes of the Indian Chieftain, Moto Guzzi MGX-21, BMW K1600 GTL and Honda Gold Wing.
