After Xtreme 200R and Xpulse 200, Hero is planning to launch their third 200cc bike.
Hero MotoCorp is preparing to launch their third 200cc bike after the introduction of Xtreme 200R and XPulse 200. We have ridden the Hero Xtreme 200R on Buddh International Circuit a couple of months back. Now by the end of the year, we hopefully will get our hands on the upcoming XPulse 200 too.
The India bike maker announced in early 2018 that they will be introducing a set of premium motorcycles in the next eighteen months. As they said, they’ve already launched their Xtreme 200R and will be soon launching the most affordable adventure touring bike named XPulse 200. The upcoming 200cc bike will be the addition to their current premium motorcycle range.
As of now, we don’t know what kind of bike it will be after its birth. Hero has already come up with a premium commuter and adventure tourer. The patent image shows, smaller instrument cluster, round headlamp like the XPulse 200, chunky exhaust, big tyres with absence of fairing. With what we see we can conclude that this bike will not be a cruiser. There are more chances that this bike could be a scrambler.
If that is the case, this will be the most affordable scrambler in India just like the most affordable café racer called Splendor Pro Classic from Hero. This bike will receive the same 199.6cc single cylinder producing 18 BHP and 17 Nm torque with a 5-speed gearbox. This new motorcycle might go up against the KTM Duke 200, Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS in terms of performance.
