Hero Xtreme 125R Leaked

Hero Xtreme 125R will be the most premium 125cc bike in their lineup

Hero MotoCorp is set to debut its latest offering, the Hero Xtreme 125R, at the upcoming Hero World event on 23rd January. However, a recent leak has given us a sneak peek into the design and features of the motorcycle, positioning it as the most premium and sporty 125cc bike in Hero’s lineup.

The leaked image showcases the Xtreme 125R’s aggressive and sporty design, featuring a sizeable fuel tank flanked by large shrouds, reminiscent of larger sport bikes like the Kawasaki Z1000 and the Honda CB1000 Hornet. The LED headlamp, with twin pilot lights on top, adds a distinctive touch, while sleek LED indicators contribute to the overall aesthetics.

The motorcycle boasts silver-coloured body panels to give it a premium appeal, coupled with a split seat setup for a sportier stance. The exhaust design deviates from the conventional look seen in other Hero 125cc models, lending a more sporty vibe to the Xtreme 125R.

While specific engine details remain undisclosed, the leaked image suggests a possible sharing of the motor from existing models like the Hero Glamour. The current Glamour engine produces 10.8 HP and 10.6 Nm of torque. Considering the competitive landscape with models like the TVS Raider producing 11.4 HP, there is speculation of a potential slight increase in the power output.

The chassis details are yet to be confirmed, leaving room for speculation on whether it’s an entirely new design or an adaptation from existing models. The tall tail section suggests a distinct rear subframe compared to Hero’s existing 125cc motorcycles. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and a monoshock, with the bike equipped with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.

In terms of competition, the Hero Xtreme 125R is set to challenge players like the TVS Raider, Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and the Honda SP125 in the 125cc segment. While the TVS Raider is currently priced between Rs. 95,000-1.03 lakh (ex-showroom), the pricing for the Hero Xtreme 125R is anticipated to be competitive, if not slightly lower.

Apart from the Xtreme 125R, Hero MotoCorp will also unveil the Mavrick 440 at the Hero World event.
