Husqvarna is developing the Svartpilen 200 for India launch in 3rd quarter 2020.
The much awaited Husqvarna brand finally made its entry in the Indian market for the first time at the India Bike Week a few days back. The Swedish brand showcased a range of bikes to the Indian audience which will go on sale soon.
However, what they didn’t showcase is the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 which will be the entry-level motorcycle for the brand in India. It is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2020 in India.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 will share most of its mechanicals including the engine with the KTM Duke 200. Just like the the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
It will be the same 200cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine derived from the Duke 200 that makes 26 HP. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
However, the Svartpilen 200 will share its frame with the 250cc Husqvarna bikes and not the Duke 200. It will get a bolt-on subframe.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 is expected to be priced at Rs. 1.80 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Vitpilen 200 will debut later in 2020.
