Hyundai Alcazar India Launch
The car will command a premium over the Creta

Hyundai Alcazar (Creta 7-Seater) SUV is set to be launched by second quarter (Q2) next year.

Currently, Hyundai is testing the car in South Korea and it looks like the front fascia of the Creta will be retained as it is.

However, the rear section will get a slight design refresh so that it blends well with the elongated body and to set it apart from the 5-seater Creta. The tail gate will be more upright and there will be split LED tail lamps as well.

Being a 7-seater, the Hyundai Alcazar will get a third row of seats and when they are folded down, more space in the boot. It will be a more practical product than its two-row sibling.

Expect the dashboard of the Hyundai Alcazar and the Creta to be similar and like the latter, it will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, connected tech, a sunroof, among various other features.

While we know that the Alcazar will be a 7-seater, we can also not rule out the possibility of a 6-seater version, for it will offer that extra bit of premiumness. However, there is no word about it yet.

Also, because the Alcazar will cost more than the Creta, it will not be powered by the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. Instead, the 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines will be offered with the car.

When the Hyundai Alcazar India launch takes place, expect the car to be priced at a premium over the Creta. The 7-seater SUV will chiefly rival the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV500, among others.
