While the automotive world is awaiting the launch of the Hyundai Alcazar, details about its variants and colourways have been leaked already.

The 3-row midsize SUV will be offered in a total of six variants namely – Signature, Signature (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum and Platinum (O).

Starting with the Signature variant, in this trim the Alcazar will come only with 6-seats and a 6-speed manual gearbox for both 2.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.

Next up is the Signature (O) variant in which the midsize SUV will come in 6-seater configuration. The petrol and diesel engines will only be offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Prestige, another 1 of Hyundai Alcazar variants, also gets both 6- and 7-seat options, and the petrol and diesel engines, but it is manual only.

On the other hand, the Prestige (O) variant comes only in automatic guise. What’s more, the diesel Prestige (O) variant gets 7 seats, while the petrol equivalent gets 6.

Moving on, the 7-seat Platinum variant of the Alcazar can be had only with the manual transmission for both petrol and diesel engines. The Platinum (O) variant is the opposite, for it gets 6 seats and is automatic only.

Hyundai’s 2.0-litre petrol unit that will power the Alcazar is good for 159 PS and 191 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 115 PS and 250 Nm.

In terms of exterior colourways, customers can choose from options such as Phantom Black, Polar White, Starry Night, Taiga Brown, Titan Grey and Typhoon Silver. The interior theme would be Cognac Brown.

Hyundai unveiled the SUV in April and is expected to launch the car this month. The Alcazar will primarily rival the MG Hector Plus.
