Hyundai drops AMT from Grand i10 Nios Asta trim

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Asta trim, which is the range-topping trim of the hatchback, is now available only with the manual transmission option. The carmaker has removed AMT from the Asta variant.

While Asta AMT is still listed on the official website, the dealers have stopped taking bookings for the same. Henceforth, AMT option will now only be available in Grand i10 Nios Magna and Sportz trims.

On the other hand, Hyundai is preparing to launch the facelift of the Grand i10 Nios. It was spotted testing recently in the country. The hatchback is expected to get some cosmetic changes to refresh the styling.

You can also expect some mild tweaks on the interior and additional features on offer as well. The updated model is expected to launch early next year. Hyundai might showcase the facelifted car as well at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo in January.

The Grand i10 Nios is offered in three engine options – 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2-litre NA petrol with CNG. The updated model will also continue to get the same engine options.
