Hyundai Santro CNG Variants
Is it customer preference that has forced Hyundai to change the features it offers?

Hyundai is reshuffling the CNG variants of the Santro hatchback in a bid to make it a more value for money proposition than it currently is.

As per the firm’s revised plans, the Magna CNG which costs Rs. 5.85 lakhs and Sportz CNG which costs Rs. 6 lakhs (prices ex-showroom, New Delhi) will be done away with.

In their place will sit new Magna Executive and Sportz Executive trims for the CNG variant. With this, the number of Hyundai Santro CNG variants will remain the same.

However, the features offered in both variants will be different in comparison with the current variants. For example, the New Magna Executive CNG will not get 2-DIN audio system, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, speakers and roof antenna.

However, the Sportz Executive CNG (based on the current Magna) will gain features such as 6.75-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system that will also feature smartphone navigation, band equalizer, turn indicators on ORVMs which will also be electrically adjustable and day/night IRVM.

With these changes, Hyundai is expected to price the Sportz Executive just above and the Magna Executive CNG just below the current Magna CNG model. The new top CNG variant costs less than the current top CNG trim.
