The Tucson will fill the void between the Creta and Santa Fe

Hyundai has seen tremendous growth in the Indian market since the past many years and the automaker is optimistic that the flow will keep going like this. Company officials have stated that they want to build a presence in each segment and they are even bullish of becoming market leaders.

Hyundai launched the current Santa Fe in India a couple of years back, while the Creta was launched just a year back. The Korean automaker is looking to strengthen its portfolio in the SUV market and thus they will be launching the Tucson, which will be slotted between the Creta and Santa Fe.

Besides the Tucson, Hyundai will launch another sub-compact SUV that will be positioned at the lower end of the spectrum, i.e. below the Creta. The new sub-compact SUV will be based on a stretched version of the Grand i10’s platform and it will even share components with the Creta and Elite i20.

The new SUV’s looks will be inspired by the new i30 and not the Carlino that was showcased recently. Also, the new vehicle will be sold along side the i20 Active which is a crossover. You can expect the new sub-compact SUV to be revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo and it will compete with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
