Hyundai Venue iMT & Sport Trim Launched, Priced From Rs. 10 Lakhs
Hyundai has further strengthened the compact SUV with the additional gearbox option and trim option.
Hyundai Venue iMT has been launched in India with its price beginning from Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Hyundai also launched a Sport trim for the car.
The Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) is only offered on the SX and SX(O) trims with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol.
On the other hand, the Sport variant will be offered on the SX and SX(O) trims of both turbo petrol and diesel variants and is priced from Rs. 10.2 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Two Pedals – The clutch pedal-free iMT is a 6-speed unit in which the gear shifter features an intention sensor, hydraulic actuator and a Transmission Control Unit (TCU).
When the driver changes changes the gear, the TCU sends signal to engage the hydraulic actuator which works with the concentric slave cylinder to operate the clutch, thus offering a 2-pedal experience. The 7-speed DCT that is offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol is still offered.
Sport trim – As stated above, the Sport variant on the Hyundai Venue is offered on the 1.5-litre diesel engine as well as the 1.0-litre petrol that also comes with a 7-speed DCT, which gets paddle shifters.
The sport variant gets a new dual tone exterior colour – Titan Grey colour with Phantom Black roof. Also available is a Polar White with Phantom Black roof.
It also gets sport badging, red brake calipers, gloss black front grille with red inserts, dark grey front bumper garnish, dark grey roof with red inserts and red inserts on the wheel arches and side moulding.
Inside, the Sport variant gets red stitching on steering, door trim, gear shifter and on the upholstery, metal-finish pedals, red accents on knobs.
Additional variant – Due to strong customer demand, Hyundai has introduced a new S+ trim specifically to the 1.2-litre petrol model. It features projector headlamps and fog lamps, LED tail lights and an 8-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is priced at Rs. 8.31 lakhs (ex-showroom).
All the other features offered on the compact SUV variant-wise remain unchanged.
