Hyundai Venue Next Generation Spotted Testing In India, Gets Creta-Inspired Design Cues

Hyundai has been spotted testing the next-generation Venue in India. The test mule was under heavy camouflage but still revealed very crucial details regarding the sub-4-metre SUV. Let’s examine it more closely.

Exterior Updates

The Venue’s test mule reveals design cues from the Hyundai Creta. It has vertically stacked headlights, which are expected to be a dual-chamber LED reflector setup. The grille design appears to be similar to that of the Creta N Line, possibly housing the Hyundai logo. There are also hints of a style element of a connected LED DRL above the headlight, similar to the Creta.

The rear also has Creta-inspired tail lights. These might be connected, as the outgoing model features an LED light bar. We also expect the alloy rims to receive a new design. No shots of the interior are available.

However, you can anticipate a connected infotainment screen and driver’s display similar to other Hyundai models.

Expected Engine & Transmission Options

The ‘MH 12’ registration plates on the test mule suggest that Hyundai is likely to build the Venue at the company’s manufacturing plant in Talegaon. The Hyundai Venue is expected to be powered by the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine, and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Hyundai will pair these to either a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 7-speed DCT, or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
