Jaguar XF 2.2 Test Drive Review
The XF Executive Edition misses out on certain features inside the cabin

Jaguar has launched the XF 2.2L Diesel Executive Edition in India, priced at Rs. 45.12 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai, Pre-Octroi). A more affordable version of the XF, the new Executive Edition is positioned below the XF Luxury and XF Premium variants that are feature loaded. Missing out on certain creature comforts, the Executive Edition comes loaded with essentials like navigation system, full-size spare wheel, full colour touch-screen system and the Jaguar Smart Key system with keyless start.

You also get power folding external mirrors, interior mood lighting and electronic front seats as part of the standard package. What the XF Executive Edition misses out on are premium interior mood lighting, television tuner and driver seating memory function. In terms of powertrain, the Jaguar XF is powered by the 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of churning out 190 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 0-100 km/hr is achievable in 8.5 seconds on the XF.

In comparison to other variants, the new Jaguar XF Executive Edition is the most affordable variant and is around Rs. 3.5 lakhs cheaper than the mid-level ‘Luxury’ trim. Owned by Tata Motors, Jaguar is one of the more aspirational brands in the luxury car market. With the new affordable edition, the company is trying to attract a wider audience, moving them away from the usual Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-Series and the Audi A6 sedans in the segment. Sales of the new XF Executive Edition have commenced at Jaguar’s 21 dealerships across 19 cities in the country.
