Compact SUV sales remained high in January 2022

Compact SUV sales in January 2022 continued to remain upbeat and it was the Tata Nexon that led the way by registering sales of 13,816 units.
Second-placed Hyundai Venue found 11,377 new homes during the said period, while during the same time, Maruti retailed 9576 units of its Vitara Brezza.
Up next is the Kia Sonet which registered sales of 6904 units, followed by the off-roader Thar which took the fifth spot in the January 2022 compact SUV sales chart as Mahindra delivered 4646 units of the car.
It was closely followed by another Mahindra product, the XUV300 which registered sales of 4550 units, while the Nissan Magnite (3827 units) and Renault Kiger (3053 units) followed suit.
In the last 2 positions came the Toyota Urban Cruiser and the Honda WR-V which recorded sales of 2590 units and 494 units, respectively.
Overall, the cars in the segment registered sales of 60,833 units which is a 12 percent increase in sales when compared with the same period a year before.
