Toyota Innova is back to business

June 2022 UV sales – Toyota Innova has witnessed massive growth, Renault Triber has nearly doubled its sales

In June, 2022, UV sales, there were some twists and turns with the top 6 sellers registering growth and the rest facing de-growth. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Eeco came on top selling more than 10,000 units each. They recorded a marginal YoY growth of 5 and 10 percent respectively.

Surprisingly, Kia Carens rose in sales despite customers facing AC condensation issues and became the country’s third best-selling UV. It even overtook the workhorse Mahindra Bolero selling close to 8000 units.

The oldest UV here, Bolero came fourth selling nearly the same units as the Carens. The Bolero definitively has a lot more potential if Mahindra offers the 2.2-litre mHawk engine at least as an option. Even the lowest state of tune, 130 HP, is more than enough for the Bolero.

At number 5, Toyota Innova continues on with its flabbergasting sales of late. In June, the second oldest UV here has punched above its high price registering an excellent 129 percent growth.

At number 6, Renault Triber has posted decent numbers selling more than what Maruti Suzuki could manage with the XL6. The Triber has nearly doubled its sales when compared to last year registering 87 percent growth.

Toyota Innova has registered a good 129 percent growth

Maruti Suzuki XL6 took the seventh place with a de-growth of 16 percent. This does come as a surprise as the all-new model was launched just a couple of months back. Maybe things might come to normal next month.

The last 3 places were taken by Kia Carnival, Mahindra Marazzo, and Toyota Vellfire. All the 3 have witnessed YoY de-growth and Marazzo’s dismissal sales is unacceptable for the price tag it commands. Hope Mahindra goes back to the drawing board to sort out what went wrong with the MPV.
