Keeway has launched its first cruiser, K-Light 250V, in India for a price tag starting from Rs. 2,89,000/- (ex-showroom) for the base Matte Blue shade. The price goes up to Rs. 3,09,000/-(ex-showroom) for the top-end Matte Black shade. Prices are introductory.

Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), which handles the businesses of Benelli in India, is also assembling Keeway products at its dedicated plant.

Bookings have already commenced for a token amount of Rs. 10,000/- and the deliveries are set to begin soon. Customers can book the bike from http://keeway-india.com or call-7328903004.

Keeway products would be accessible at all of Benelli’s 50+ dealership network across the country. The K-Light 250V comes with a 2-year unlimited Km warranty as a standard offering. AARI will also add 100 more dealerships by the end of 2023.

The K-Light 250V comes with a smart-tech-enabled solution, Keeway Connect, featuring an integrated GPS unit with a SIM card. It connects to the Keeway application and telecasts the whereabouts of the vehicle anywhere and anytime.

An inbuilt battery powers the system and the vehicle can be accurately tracked to 2.5 meters of its vicinity and, for up to 3 hours, even with the unit disconnected from the main battery.

Other key features of the application include remote engine cut-off, setting up of a geo-fence, maintaining ride records, setting max speed limit, and sharing location information with friends on community rides.

The 250V is a rugged modern cruiser and the first in the 250cc segment to have a V-twin engine coupled to a belt drive system. The V-twin produces a maximum power of 18.7 HP at 8500 RPM and maximum torque of 19 Nm at 5500 RPM.

Interestingly, the engine is a proper long stroke unit like the Royal Enfields with 49 mm bore and 66 mm stroke.

The motorcycle is equipped with dual-channel ABS along with front and rear disc brakes. It gets a contoured seat resulting in a relaxed riding position. The motorcycle comes with telescopic shock absorbers in the front and rear hydraulic suspension.

The headlight cluster holds a small LED framed by a round DRL. The tail cuts sharply after the LED brake lights and this is made possible by the fender being mounted on the swingarm.

The K-Light 250V comes with a large 20-litre fuel tank for long hauls. There are 3 colours on offer – Matte Blue, Matte Dark Grey, and Matte Black.

The company is working towards launching 5 more products in the Indian market by the end of this year and they would primarily comprise of a cruiser, 2 retro street classics, 1 naked street, and a race replica.

While Keeway’s roots are in Hungary, it’s currently owned by the famous QJ Group of China that also owns the Benelli brand. The K-Light 250V competes against the likes of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Meteor 350.
