Kia Carens Clavis Priced At Rs. 11.49 Lakh (ex-showroom)
Kia announced the pricing for the Carens Clavis. The base-spec HTE variant of the Carens Clavis is priced at Rs. 11.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). Kia will commence deliveries of the Carens Clavis from next week.
Styling
The Carens Clavis carries an MPV silhouette, like the Carens, but with fresh design cues. There is a new triangular design for the LED headlights and revised taillights with the connected LED lightbar. Additionally, there are also 17-inch alloy rims with revised design.
Interior
The interior of the Carens Clavis features a dual 10.25-inch infotainment system and driver’s display with beige and blue upholstery. The Carens Clavis is available in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. Kia provides features like Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, electric parking brake, and connected car technology.
Engine & Transmission Options
The Carens Clavis features 3 engines: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine produces 115 HP and 144 NM of torque and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The turbo petrol engine produces 160 HP and 253 NM of torque, which is available with the option of a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine produces 116 HP and 250 NM of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Outlook
Kia has positioned the Carens Clavis to reach a broader range of customers compared to the regular Carens MPV. The Carens is only available in Prestige (O), solely with a manual transmission and fewer features compared to Carens Clavis. The Carens Clavis competes with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti XL6.
