Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition price list ranges between Rs. 10.79 lakhs and Rs. 11.89 lakhs (ex-showroom)
Kia India has launched the ‘Anniversary Edition’ of the Sonet with a starting price of Rs. 10.79 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), today.
The first anniversary edition of the compact SUV celebrates its sales success in India. Since launch, Kia has retailed more than 1 lakh units of the Sonet.
According to the Korean automaker, the anniversary edition of the Sonet has exterior elements inspired by Aurochs, a wild Eurasian bull, such as skid plates (front, sides and rear) with tangerine accents.
Even the ‘Tiger Nose’ grille has tangerine accents, and so do the door garnish, wheel centre caps. The special edition also comes with model-specific emblem, should people fail to notice that it celebrates the first anniversary of the Sonet in India.
Customers can choose any 1 of the 4 exterior colour choices – Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey and Steel silver – that are on offer.
Stepping inside, one would find a dual tone dash, semi-leatherette Beige and Black seats with Silver stitching and leatherette wrapped D-cut steering wheel, gear knob and door armrests.
In terms of features, the Sonet anniversary edition has the same goodies as the HTX variant on which it is based. Thus, it comes with auto LED headlamps with DRLs, LED tail lights, 16-inch alloys, electric sunroof, remote engine start, 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 3.5-inch driver’s display, UVO Lite, rear-view camera, and more.
For safety, the car is equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, Brake Assist, ESC, HAC, VSM, and, in addition, there are traction modes (Sand, Mud, Wet) and drive modes on offer as well.
The Sonet anniversary edition is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine puts out 120 PS and 172 Nm and is teamed with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT.
Whereas, the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor, making 100 PS and 240 Nm in WGT configuration is paired with a 6-speed MT and the same motor making 115 PS and 250 Nm in VGT guise comes with a 6-speed AT.
