Kia Sonet Production Version
The wait is almost over for the Sonet’s launch to take place

Kia Sonet production version has been spied once again, this time while a mule was on test on Indian roads, ahead of the car’s launch next week.

It was only recently that the Korean carmaker released the official rendering of the compact SUV and as seen in the rendering, the “tiger nose” grille, LED headlights, air dam enveloped by the skid plate and side air intakes are all present and correct.

Along the sides, the car gets body cladding around wheel arches, while a curve runs above it, making the wheel arch look bigger. The rear of the Kia Sonet production version is the same as seen in the earlier spied version and has been lifted straight from the concept, which is good.

Furthermore, a picture of the interior of the Kia Sonet production version has also been snapped. We are happy to report that the interior follows the design theme of the Kia Seltos, with its 10.25-inch infotainment screen also seen here.

Parts have also been borrowed from the larger car, but there are changes, like the redesigned centre portion. Seltos’ steering wheel can also be seen in the Sonet, but there is no 7.0-inch TFT screen for the MID and in its place sits a smaller display.

As seen at the bottom of the steering wheel, the interior is that of a GT-Line trim car, meaning it gets black interior with red stitching. Overall, the Sonet is a stylish car which would capture the attention of youngsters whom Kia wants to attract.

When launched on 7th August, the Kia Sonet will rival the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
