The KTM 790 Adventure is scheduled to launch in India in Q4 2020.
KTM India showcased a wide range of their upcoming and existing products at the IBW 2019 show in Goa recently. One of them was the KTM 790 Adventure. The Indian audience is expecting the Austrian brand to introduce the bike soon but it is scheduled to launch by the end of 2020.
Until the launch of the 790 Adventure, KTM India is currently focusing on the Duke 790. The bike is currently being imported as CKD from Austria with minimal local content. Availability of parts is limited too.
With BS6 update coming soon, the Duke 790 will get pricier. The bike maker is now preparing to introduce a more localised version of the bike with improved support network in India.
This procedure will take time and once it is done, KTM will introduce the 790 Adventure in India with high localised content and competitive pricing.
The KTM 790 Adventure will still be quite pricier than the Duke 790. Both the models have a price differentiation of 20 percent in the UK.
The 790 Adventure is powered by a 799cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 94 HP and 88 Nm of torque. The bike comes with 200 mm of suspension travel at the front and rear. It has a 20-litre fuel tank capacity.
